1. Berserk

Berserk was given what many agree to be the best animated adaptation it's seen so far right out of the gate. Many fans of Berserk have been fans for years, but even newer fans still find that retro 90s look to be nostalgic. It reminds many of the early Toonami days.

A wonderful, bizarrely-specific question, my hypothetical readers! I, too, was asking that very still-bizarrely-specific question before watching the series. Actually, I wasn't expecting a whole lot from One-Punch Man aside from a few funny jokes, but boy did I get that and a whole lot more. Let's stop wasting time and get right to it, then!

3. Monster

Monster is a psychological thriller anime series that premiered in 2004. Created by Madhouse Studios, the anime is based on the manga written and illustrated by Naoki Urasawa. The series follows the story of Dr. Kenzo Tenma, a Japanese brain surgeon living in Germany, who becomes embroiled in a dangerous game of cat and mouse with a serial killer known as Johan Liebert. The series explores themes of morality, humanity, and the consequences of one’s actions.
