Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable! Highlights Minami Fuyuki in New Character Visual & PV Trailer

The production team for the Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable! TV anime has revealed a new character visual and PV trailer highlighting the main heroine, Minami Fuyuki. The anime is scheduled to premiere sometime in January 2024, having been delayed from its previous release date in October 2022.

Mirai Minato (The Maid I Hired Recently Is Mysterious, When Will Ayumu Make His Move? director) is serving as chief director and series screenwriter for the anime. Misuzu Hoshino (The Maid I Hired Recently Is Mysterious) is directing the series, with Katsuyuki Satou (My Stepmom`s Daughter Is My Ex) providing the character designs. SILVER LINK and BLADE are handling the animation production for the series.

Meanwhile, the voice cast includes Ayane Sakura as Minami Fuyuki, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Tsubasa Shiki, Yumiri Hanamori as Sayuri Akino, and Reina Ueda as Rena Natsukawa.

The anime is based on the romantic comedy manga by Kai Ikada. It was first serialized in Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ platform on September 4, 2019 under the Jump Comics label. Eleven tankoubon volumes have been released as of July 2023. 

Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable! Is being released digitally in English on Manga Plus, which describes the story as:

High school boy Tsubasa moves to Kitami City up in Hokkaido, where he meets a “gal” at a bus stop. The sight of her standing alone against the white snowscape, bare-legged despite the freezing cold, captures his heart.
