Bungo Stray Dogs Anime Gets New Season! Live-Action Movie Bungo Stray Dogs: Beast Reveals Official Trailer & January 7 Opening
The Bungo Stray Dogs franchise has confirmed a new anime season during the Bungo Stray Dogs: Stray Dogs Feast special event on November 7. The upcoming live-action film Bungo Stray Dogs BEAST also revealed a key visual and official trailer.
▍Bungo Stray Dogs New Anime
The new anime season of Bungo Stray Dogs will feature a returning staff including director Takuya Igarashi, series script supervisor and writer Yoji Enokido, character designer and chief animation director Nobuhiro Arai, and the animation studio BONES. The cast members will also reprise their roles.
The announcement comes with a teaser visual created by the character designer Nobuhiro Arai.
▍Bungo Stray Dogs: Beast Movie
The live-action movie is based on Kafka Asagiri’s light novel Bungo Stray Dogs: Beast, telling the “what-if” story imagines if Atsushi Nakajima was in the Port Mafia and Ryūnosuke Akutagawa was in the Armed Detective Agency, instead of vice-versa. The film will open in Japan on January 7.
The movie’s official trailer was also revealed, giving a sneak preview of the film’s theme song ” Clockwise Torque” performed by rock band GRANRODEO.
As previously announced, Shōhei Hashimoto and Yūki Torigoe are reprising their respective roles of Ryūnosuke Akutagawa and Atsushi Nakajima from the Bungo Stray Dogs stage play.
009-1: The End of the Beginning director Koichi Sakamoto is directing the film, and the light novels’ author Kafka Asagiri wrote the script.
