Skeleton Knight In Another World: Release Date & Spoilers

The Japanese light novel series called Skeleton Knight in Another world or Tadaima Isekai e Odekake-chu is ready to hit the screens with its anime adaptation soon enough. Written by Ennki Hakari and illustrated by KeG, the series began through an online serialization on the user-generated novel publishing website called Shosetsuka ni Naro October 2014. The novel was later claimed by Overlap. The label published nine volumes of the novel since June 2015 under the Overlap Novels label.

Later with the collaboration with Akira Sawano, the novel went through a manga adaptation. Since February 2017, it was serialized online via Overlap’s Comic Gardo website. From its online serialization, it has been collected under seven tankobon volumes. Seven Seas Entertainment licensed both the novel and manga edition of the same in North America. The announcement of its anime adaptation by Studio kai and Hornets created a huge buzz all over the media outlets and social media channels.

The anime fans are eagerly awaiting its release, and the recent entertainment headlines are literally packed with its updates and news. The novel series was loved by a lot of audiences, and so was its manga adaptation. Therefore, we can say that there is a huge crowd waiting out there for the release of its anime edition. There has not been any announcement of the official release date either by Studio Kai or publisher Overlap Comics. Since its announcements, there has been not more than few more updates about its production status. In August, a relevant announcement was made by the anime streaming service Crunchyroll that they will act as a host of the episodes of the series once it is finally released.

The trailer for the anime has been released, so we can predict some progress in the project by Studio Kai. Looking at the other projects from the studio, like “Uma Musume Pretty Derby” we can expect that this too will take a while before premiering. From our rough estimates, we can say that the anime might hit screens in later 2022 or early 2023.

For now, the studio has not revealed anything specific about the voice cast for the anime. However, they have revealed the three actors who are going to do voiceovers for the series’ three major characters.

The voiceover for the hero of the series, i.e., Arc will be done by actor Tomoaki Maeno. He is known for giving his voice to other characters like Hajime in Platinum End and Pain in Naruto: Shippuden. The other character Ariane Glenys Lalatoya will be voiced by actress Al Fairouz. She, too is known for appearing in many popular anime series.

Studio Kai also revealed a bit about one of the major characters of the series. The character of Ponta is not a skeleton or an elf rather, it is a nine-tailed fox or a Kitsune. The voiceover for this character will be done by actress Nene Hieda.

The story of the anime revolves around its protagonist named Arc, who one day wakes up and gets the biggest shock of his life. His reflection in the river shakes him to the core. Instead of his reflection, he sees the armored skeleton, which is a game avatar designed by him. He starts to panic and somehow figures out that he has been transported to the game world. He starts to roam around in search of answers to his questions but instead, he comes across a band of bandits who are trying to rape a woman.

Arc jumps into the scene and saves the woman by killing every bandit around her. The woman he saved was not a common but a noblewoman named Lauren. She provides him with a copper passport which grants him access to every city in the territory.
