Aniplex USA Offers 1st Fate/Grand Order: Camelot Film on BD in December

Aniplex of America announced on Tuesday that it will release Wandering: Agateram, the first film in the Fate/Grand Order The Movie Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot (Fate/Grand Order Shinsei Entaku Ryōiki Camelot) film project, on Blu-ray Disc in North America on December 14. Character designer Mieko Hosoi illustrated the release's rigid box. Aniplex of America is also planning a digital release.

The Blu-ray Disc release will include an English dub, which will feature Griffin Burns, Erica Mendez, Erika Harlacher, and Xander Mobus all returning from previous Fate/Grand Order anime as their characters Ritsuka Fujimaru, Mash Kyrielight, Leonardo Da Vinci, and Romani Archaman, respectively. New dub cast members include Max Mittelman as Bedivere, J.P. Karliak as Gawain, Erica Lindbeck as Mordred, Kyle Hebert as Lancelot, Griffin Puatu as Tristan, J. Michael Tatum as Agravain, and Kari Wahlgren as the Lion King (Wahlgren has voiced the character's alternate version Saber in previous Fate/stay night franchise dubs). Tony Oliver is directing the dub, and Bang Zoom! Entertainment is producing.

The two Fate/Grand Order The Movie Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot films, Wandering: Agateram and Paladin: Agateram, adapt the "Dai Roku Tokuiten Shinsei Entaku Ryōiki: Camelot" (Order VI: The Sacred Round Table Realm: Camelot) story from the game. The film opened in Japan in December 2020, delayed from its August 2020 opening due to the effects of the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic on its production. The second film, was slated to open on May 8, but was delayed by one week for a May 15 opening due to COVID-19 and the state of emergency declared in four prefectures.

Kei Suezawa (FLCL Progressive) directed the first film, and Kazuto Arai (FLCL Progressive) directed the second film. Production I.G produced the film project. Signal.MD animated the first film, and Production I.G animated the second film. Takashi Takeuchi (Fate anime franchise) was the lead character designer, with Mieko Hosoi (Aiura, Shōwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjū, Grimgar, Ashes and Illusions) adapting those designs for animation. Film composers include Keita Haga (Fate/stay night theme song lyrics) and Hideyuki Fukasawa (Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works).

Ukyō Kodachi (Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Lord El-Melloi II's Case Files: Rail Zeppelin Grace note, Chaos Dragon) wrote the first film's script. Kazuchika Kise (Blood-C, Made in Abyss, xxxHOLiC) and Nakaya Onsen co-designed the characters with Mieko Hosoi, and Kise also served as chief animation director.
